(TO REQUEST CONTACT CONSULTANT HAEMATOLOGIST TO DISCUSS)

Vessels and Containers:

7ml EDTA Blood Transfusion (Pink Top)

Sample Requirements:

All samples must have 4 points of ID to include:
Hospital Number OR NHS Number
DOB
Surname
Forename
The sample must have a date and time taken and must be signed by whomever took the blood.

Important Information:

Grossly haemolysed samples will not be tested.

Turnaround Time:
24 hours if kits available onsite or 4 weeks if sent to referral laboratory.
