Indication: Rapidly progressing glomerulonephritis

Background: Positive in approximately 90% of Goodpasture’s Syndrome patients. A small number of patients with other renal diseases including systemic vasculitis, SLE and mixed connective tissue disease may exhibit borderline titres.

Method: Fluoresence Enzyme Immunoassay (FEIA)

Repeat Frequency: As clinically indicated and for post treatment monitoring.

Sample Requirements:

500µl serum


Lipaemic, haemolysed or microbially contaminated samples may give poor results so will not be tested.
Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided.

How result is reported:

Numeric in U/ml
