Indication: Investigation of transfusion reactions including those to IVIg

Background: Occur in patients with complete absence of IgA (selective IgA deficiency, CVID). May also be found in healthy IgA-deficient individuals. Patients with IgA antibodies may be at risk of anaphylactic reactions to IgA-containing blood products including immunoglobulin.

Repeat Frequency: As clinically indicated
