Description:

Indication: Sjogren's Syndrome

Background: Antibodies directed against the cytoplasm of the salivary duct cells are seen in Sjogren's syndrome and also rheumatoid arthritis and SLE. Usually IgG, these antibodies are seen in approximately 50% of individuals with Sjogren's syndrome.

Method: Indirect Immunofluoresence (IIF)

Repeat Frequency: As clinically indicated.

Qualitative: Negative, Weak Positive or Positive
