Phlebotomy (Blood Collecting) Services

INFORMATION FOR OPD PHLEBTOMY FOR FPH,

RSCH, ASPH, FARNHAM HOSPITAL AND ACfH

 

FRIMLEY PARK HOSPITAL

Please Note: There is no walk-in service for GP patients with requests for routine blood tests at this venue; however those with specialist blood tests are able to attend. If in doubt please contact the Phlebotomy team via the outpatient number below.

· Opening times Monday to Friday - 08:30 to16:45 Last ticket issued at 16:30

· Outpatient Walk-in Service - Patients are seen in turn using a numbering system, however some patients may need to be seen at specific times.

Please Note: If there is a high demand the issuing of tickets may be withdrawn to allow the service to finish on time.  If the issuing of tickets is withdrawn before 16:30

a notice to that effect will be displayed.

· Paediatric (appointment only) service for children 10 years and under please phone 01252 649884.

 

In-Patients at Frimley Park Hospital

Phlebotomy teams visit the wards Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 12:00.  To use this service, fully completed request forms including electronic requests for each patient must be placed in the appropriate area for each ward, by 08:00.

 

A weekend service is provided between 08:30 and 12:00 to the following wards:

Saturday          G1, CCU, G9, SADU, SAU, G5, F2, F3, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F15

Sunday            G1, CCU, G9, SADU, SAU, G5, F2, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F11, F14

 

 

ACfH

FARNHAM HOSPITAL

ROYAL SURREY COUNTY HOSPITAL

· Opening times Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30. Last ticket issued at 16:15

· Walk in Service - Patients are seen in turn using a numbering system

ONCOLOGY OUTPATIENTS DEPARTMENT (St Luke’s Centre)

· Opening times: Monday/Thursday/Friday

Morning Only 09:00 to 12:00

Last blood test will be at 11:50am.

Please Note: There is no afternoon service on these days.

· Opening times Tuesday/Wednesday

Morning 09:00 to 12:00.

Last blood test will be at 11:50am

Afternoon 13:00 to 16:30

Last blood test will be at 16:20.

 

In-Patients at Royal Surrey County Hospital

A routine service is provided to the following wards on Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 12:00.

 

C floor:            Clandon, Compton, Bramshott, Ewhurst & HDU

D floor:           Eashing, Elstead, Frensham, Hindhead

E floor:            Merrow, Millbridge, Albury, Wisley

F floor:            Onslow, Tilford

 

A reduced phlebotomy service is provided from 08:30 to 12:00 on Saturday and Sunday to wards.  Although a phlebotomy service is offered, the Clinical Laboratory provides a skeleton routine service on Saturday morning (09:00 to 12:00), and an on-call services after 12:00 Saturday and all day Sunday.  Requests should be restricted during the weekend period to those needed for immediate patient management.

 

To use the weekday or weekend ward service, a fully completed request form for each patient must be placed in the appropriate area for each ward by 08:30.

 

 

ASHFORD HOSPITAL

· Outpatients is located on the 2nd floor, from main reception follow signs for Blood Tests

· Opening times Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 08:30 to 16:45. Wednesday 08:00 to 16:45

· Walk in service - Patients are seen in turn using a numbering system

· Paediatric service is offered by appointment. Patients are asked to contact the

Children’s Service Department on 01784 884565

 

 

ST PETER’S HOSPITAL

Please note that there is no walk in facilities for GP patients. Patients should use

Ashford Hospital

· Location : 2nd floor of main outpatients block

· For Paediatric services (0 to 16yrs) contact Oak Ward 01932 722016 to make an

appointment.
