Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Service

We are an established provider of POCT for the independent sector. Our dedicated POCT team is ideally placed to ensure that all your governance obligations are met.

With our expertise and in-depth knowledge of POCT devices, we can support specialist clinics and aid fast clinical decision making.

A range of POCT equipment available: from portable to bench-top, single devices to a full hot lab. All equipment is rigorously evaluated and comes with a total quality management package to ensure safe delivery of service

Tailored evaluation service: to develop the appropriate package for your requirements

Full support: to supply, install, maintain and audit all Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) equipment

Medical Technical Assistants: to operate the Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) equipment and support disease management clinics if required

MRSA Testing Service

MRSA screening – operational guidance 2 - issued 31 December 2008 (1)

This guidance was to support NHS trusts, (including Primary Care Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts) and the independent sector, in introducing MRSA screening for all elective patients by the end of March 2009 (1) It built on previous guidance “Screening for MRSA colonisation – a strategy for NHS Trusts: a summary of best practice” (1) and “MRSA Screening – Operational Guidance” (2) issued on 31 July 2008

Which patients in which locations need to be screened for MRSA?

The MRSA screening commitment includes all relevant elective admissions, including patients treated in non-acute provider units such as community hospitals and NHS patients treated by the independent sector.
